Mel is a registered Creative Arts Therapist with ANZACATA and holds a Master of Therapeutic Arts Practice from the MIECAT Institute. She brings a warm, gentle, and compassionate approach to her work, creating a safe space where children, young people, and families feel seen, heard, and supported.
Mel is passionate about using creative and experiential ways to explore emotions, stories, and inner experiences - believing that the arts can offer powerful pathways to healing, insight, and wellbeing. With a background in youth work, Mel draws on both strengths-based and arts-based practices.
Mel has supported individuals across a range of settings, including Prep to Year 12 schools, community programs, foster care, and youth justice. Whether working with a young person, a family, or a group, Mel walks alongside her clients with empathy, curiosity, and care—encouraging growth, connection, and self-expression through the creative process.
