U-Wen is a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist who graduated from La Trobe University with a Master of Speech Pathology and is a member of Speech Pathology Australia. He has worked across hospitals, rehabilitation centres, communication clinics and schools in both rural and urban settings.

U-Wen has a special interest in working with young children with speech, language and communication difficulties, with a particular passion for supporting children with Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) and other speech sound disorders. He has completed specialised training in the Nuffield Dyspraxia Programme, ReST and Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC), as well as Hanen’s More Than Words program and a range of other professional development.

U-Wen is passionate about evidence-based practice and early intervention and takes a collaborative, child-centered approach to therapy. He enjoys working alongside families and educators to help children develop their communication skills in ways that are meaningful, motivating and enjoyable.

Outside of speech pathology, U-Wen enjoys keeping active, getting outdoors, playing and watching sport and taking his dog Bruno for walks.
